How do I change my address or name?

To change your name and/or address with Cancer Screening Programs, you need to change your information with the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). You can make changes by phoning 310-0000 toll-free in Alberta, then dial 780-427-1432. To find out details on how to make changes by mail or in person, visit the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan web page. Cancer Screening Programs receives names and addresses of eligible Albertans from Alberta Health & Wellness under the Health Information Action.

How do I find a new doctor and or other healthcare provider?

If you need help finding a doctor or another healthcare provider you can contact:

How do I not receive letters?

We can only accept your requests for No Letter and/or Program Exclusions for those programs that you are age eligible for.

Once you are age eligible, you may call back to request the No Letter and/or Program Exclusion options. We encourage you to discuss the benefits of receiving letters and being part of Cancer Screening Programs with your healthcare provider.

If you do not wish to receive letters from any of the Cancer Screening Programs please complete the applicable program No Letter Option Form and fax it back to us toll-free at 1-800-944-3388.

If you choose to be excluded from the programs completely, please call Cancer Screening Programs toll-free at 1-866-727-3926 during regular office hours, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm to complete the opt out or exclusion process. Our staff would be happy to assist you. In order to protect your privacy and confirm your identity, we are unable to accept requests for opt outs or exclusion by email.

About the Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program (ABCSP)

The Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program (ABCSP) is coordinated by Alberta Health Services in partnership with the Alberta Society of Radiologists. The ABCSP mails your screening mammogram results to you. The program also supports women and their healthcare providers by sending reminders when women are overdue for screening mammograms.

Screen Test provides screening mammograms at two fixed location clinics, one in Edmonton and one in Calgary. Screen Test has two mobile screening trailers that provide services to women in approximately 100 communities in rural Alberta.

Screen Test provides high quality screening mammography and breast health education, and has consistently exceeded international standards for the early detection of breast cancer. Screen Test is a service within the Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program

The Alberta Cervical Cancer Screening Program (ACCSP) is coordinated by Alberta Health Services in partnership with healthcare providers. The ACCSP mails your Pap test results to you. The Program will also send you reminder letters if you are overdue for your next Pap test. Alberta Cervical Cancer Screening Program Expands to AHS Central, Edmonton and North Zones.
