COLORECTAL CANCER SCREENING CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Everyone aged 50 to 74 should be screened for colorectal cancer regularly. Most cases of colorectal cancer occur in people age 50 and over. About 1 in 14 men and 1 in 17 women in Alberta will develop colorectal cancer in their lifetime. Colorectal cancer is the #2 cancer killer for men and women combined in Alberta. Often colorectal cancer has no signs and symptoms. Screening is the only way to detect colorectal cancer early when 90% of cases can be prevented or treated.
